Interactive and Practical Program

Day 1

8:00 - 9:00Breakfast & Coffee
9:00 - 10:451. AIM: Value and Function
Innovation Value is more performance, less harmful effects, more convenience and less cost. Ideally all is going to maximum function, minimum system, ideal…is no…. trend towards self-function
11:00 - 12:452. USE: Resources in Time and Space
Take your process as the box, here and now. Here is a place in space, now is a moment in time. Everything which is not here and now is out of the box, potentially a resource
12:45 - 14:00Lunch and Innovation Gallery
14:00 - 15:003. LINK: Your product or process DNA
Abstract properties with abstract functions identify the properties and functions that are linked in a product or process. From the ProductDNA® go into two directions: similar DNA is family (step 4), vary the DNA for new solutions (step 5).
15:15 - 17:004. IMPORT : inspiration from outside
Your abstract properties and functions (step 3) will identify other similar products or processes in other domains, the ProductDNA® will point you to find ‘family’ that will act as inspiration to new concepts.
19:00 - 22:00Networking Dinner

Day 2

8:00 - 9:00Breakfast & Coffee
9:00 - 10:455. VARY: change for better function
Variation of properties bring new or improved function. A list of properties has been proposed in the method. They are acting as checklist for product and process innovation.
11:00 - 12:456. ELECT: ideas to concepts
Evaluation/concept: What value is gained? (1) Are there new resources? (2) What DNA was challenged? (3) Which donor domain? (4) What properties have changed, functions gained? (5)
